Dear Wild Ones Enthusiast,

Have you been using native plants? Natural Landscaping? Sustainable yards? Do you want the world to know that you’re doing what you can to offset climate change? Then plan to register for the Wild Ones Ecospace Program.

The Wild Ones Program will offer a different perspective than other yard certification programs. It will certify yards and green space based on the amount of native plants and natural landscaping used and the overall sustainability of the landscape.

This Ecospace certification offers home and business owners as well as municipalities and non-profits
• Education and guidance.
• Inspiration and motivation.
• Public acknowledgment and outreach opportunities.

But looking at the bigger picture, the Ecospace certification will get not only you, but also your family, friends and neighbors
• Thinking about the importance environmentally of their gardening and landscaping practices.
• Encouraging them to continue making environmentally sound changes in their landscaping practices.
• Providing an avenue to further educate a group of people who have demonstrated at least an initial interest in environmentally responsible landscaping.

Ecologically-sustainable "Smart Yards"
• Are safe for children, adults, pets, wildlife and all living things.
• Conserve natural resources like water and fossil fuels.
• Support native diversity in plants and wildlife.
• Do not pollute air, soil, or water.
• Work with (not against) nature.
• Avoid or minimize synthetic pesticides and high-nitrogen fertilizers.

Wild Ones members want to be certified by their own organization so they have another way to promote Wild Ones and its ideals.
